'Mons Il·lustrats. Premis Junceda 2025' Exhibition

This event has already taken place.

26 May 2026 – 30 August 2026 · 09:30

Biblioteca Ignasi Iglésias - Can Fabra, Sant Andreu, Sant Andreu

As in the previous two years, the exhibition is organised as part of Món Llibre, the literary festival for children and young people. Efforts need to be combined in the important task of promoting the art of illustration. The exhibition shows the diversity of categories and visual languages represented in the awards: animation, non-fiction and fiction. It also presents an entire professional lifetime, that of Fina Rifà, author and teacher, who often developed her work quietly and in the shadow of other names from her generation, since she was drawing at a time —the 1960s and 1970s— when women, including women illustrators, had to fight for rights we now take for granted. We can also appreciate Gala Pont's impeccable technique, use of colour, contrast and composition, as well as both Arianne Faber's and Pepon Meneses's ability to create a poetic atmosphere and play with very simple forms. We will likewise enjoy Cinta Fosch's ability to convey a highly complex subject simply through drawing and infographics, and the expressive force and conceptualisation of Nina Izycka, who stands out in the picture-book category despite the high quality of all the selected works. Thanks to: Teresa…
