We present a new perspective on the permanent painting collection at Museu Can Framis of Fundació Vila Casas. A reading intended as a declaration of intent, the starting point for a new stage that will open up a process of listening to, reading and rereading Antoni Vila Casas's legacy. For the first time, we propose an exhibition narrative seeking dialogue between the formal and conceptual aspects of the collection, looking for the invisible threads established between the different works on display and which define the main areas of work in our museums. Following Antoni Vila Casas's wish to move away from academic and conventional perspectives, A Permanently Changing Collection proposes a journey through the principal motivations —formal and conceptual— that have stimulated Catalan visual art in recent decades, from a perspective independent of styles, fashions and prejudices. Artists from different generations and tendencies enter into dialogue, united by a narrative that is their own and that they share. Each from the perspective of their own time, but united at the root. An opportunity to understand, through this selection of works, a specific period in the history of Catalan…
