'Award-winning Architecture. 125 Years of Architecture Awards' Exhibition

Created in 1958, the Premis FAD d'Arquitectura i Interiorisme are Europe's longest-running architecture awards and a benchmark for the country's architectural culture. Across 67 uninterrupted editions, independent juries have recognised works that have helped transform the environment, city and landscape. The awards began by recognising works built in the city of Barcelona, later expanding to the metropolitan area (1978), the whole of Catalonia (1987) and finally the Iberian Peninsula (since 1996). To mark Barcelona 2026, World Capital of Architecture, ARQUIN-FAD is promoting a retrospective exhibition highlighting the 67 editions of the Premis FAD and their predecessors, the Premis Ciutat de Barcelona d'Arquitectura i Urbanisme, awarded by the Ajuntament since the late 19th century. The exhibition is produced by ARQUIN-FAD with the support of Fundació Mies van der Rohe and Ajuntament de Barcelona within Barcelona 2026, World Capital of Architecture, and curated by architects Pau de Solà-Morales and Ignasi Bonet.
