The heritage reconstruction and exhibition present the key periods in the history of a neighbourhood that is an excellent example of the city's evolution from the perspective of housing and neighbourhood social cohesion throughout the 20th century. The reconstruction of four low-cost houses reflects the history of Bon Pastor between 1929 and 2010, with a brief epilogue extending to 2022. Each house presents one of the major periods identified in the neighbourhood's history: House 1: Scarcity (1929-1952). Life in the low-cost houses between two dictatorships. House 2: Developmentalism (1953-1974). A period of recovery and economic growth. House 3: Reform (1975-1993). A change of era and perspectives. House 4: Reassessment (1994-2010). End of a cycle and new expectations. The themed audiovisual capsules, created from testimonies and corroborated by primary documentation, are a key element in each house. The project avoids immersive reconstructions in order to remain close to archaeological data and historical research. The exhibition is completed by the documentary Bon Pastor, un segle de Barcelona and a collection of planning documents shown in the multipurpose room.
