'Ordered Ways of Looking' Family Visit-Workshop
This event has already taken place.
5 April 2026 – 3 September 2026 · 12:00
CaixaForum Barcelona, la Font de la Guatlla, Sants-Montjuïc
Nature is order, but also disorder. Playing with this idea, we will reflect on the Bosc vertical at different scales. In a landscape, is there an order or a reason why it is the way it is? And in a garden? Why is one design chosen rather than another? Where do order and disorder appear? Are all leaves the same? Are they symmetrical? What about their cells? Does the garden contain only the species introduced at the beginning? Are there animals? What function do they have? What will the gardens of the future be like? In this activity, we will carry out participatory and experimental tasks to try to answer all these questions, as well as those that arise along the way. Using dichotomous keys, magnifying glasses, microscopes, field notebooks and design notebooks, you will discover all the secrets hidden in this unique Bosc vertical. Recommended for ages 8 and over. Children must always be accompanied by an adult, who must also book a ticket for the activity.
Part of the programme: Barcelona World Capital of Architecture 2026. Barcelona Capital Mundial de l'arquitectura 2026: 20 activities in Barcelona, from February 19 to December 31.
