Stephane Belmondo, trumpet · Pat Bianchi, organ · Tony Lakatos, tenor saxophone · Bernd Reiter, drums. New Yorker Pat Bianchi is a modern exponent of the Hammond B3 organ. He is a unique and creative voice who honours tradition while bringing the instrument into the modern era. Over the years he has played in the bands of Pat Martino, Lou Donaldson, Ralph Peterson Jr. and Chuck Loeb. He has also performed with Red Holloway, George Coleman, Terell Stafford, Dakota Staton and Steely Dan. His command of the instrument, harmonic ability, rhythmic intensity and versatility are exceptional. This quartet includes Joe Magnarelli, one of the world's leading jazz trumpeters, who has played with Brother Jack McDuff, the Lionel Hampton Big Band, the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra and many others. Saxophonist Tony Lakatos and drummer Bernd Reiter, two major European musicians who have accompanied jazz legends including Harold Mabern, Randy Brecker, Kirk Lightsey and Steve Grossman, complete this stellar line-up. The quartet presents energetic music full of passion and spirit: simply "Organ Grooves & Soul Jazz at its Best".
