The eighth session of the Disseny d'arquitectes series, co-organised by the Fundació Història del Disseny and DHub, offers, as usual, a twofold view: first a historical look at the work and career of Santiago Roqueta, and then a contemporary reading focused on the work of the EMBT studio, founded in 1994 by architects Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue. In the first part, illusionist architect Rita Roqueta and furniture maker Carles Riart will talk about architect and interior designer Santiago Roqueta, who played an important and groundbreaking role in Barcelona's design world. The session will also cover the new approaches that emerged in the late 1960s and took shape in the three editions of the Disueño exhibition (1977-79), organised alongside the Delta Awards to explore territories close to art, experimentation and questioning established canons. In the second part, Benedetta Tagliabue will talk with Paolo Sustersic, architect, historian and president of the Fundació Història del Disseny, about the ideas and works of Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue.
