'Topography of Reflections' Artistic Intervention by Josep Ferrando
1 October 2026 – 10 October 2026 · 10:00
Pavelló Mies van der Rohe, el Poble-sec, Sants-Montjuïc
The intervention proposes a glass labyrinth over the travertine of Pavelló Mies van der Rohe. Rather than altering the building, it activates one of its latent tensions: transparency as an unsettling boundary. This single gesture, constructed from one material, reinforces the pavilion's condition as a space without refuge, where each plane of glass intensifies the perception of the boundary between inside and outside. The geometry of the labyrinth does not conceal the original plan but makes it vibrate through superimposed reflections and transparencies. The route invites us to rethink the space, generating an experience of visual uncertainty and expanded presence. This critical architecture redefines transparency not as neutrality but as a dense, living and profoundly contemporary condition.
