Disseny Hub Barcelona, el Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou, Sant Martí

The exhibition offers a broad and evocative journey through recent Catalan architecture, showing its richness, diversity and historical continuity. Its starting point is the recognition of an uninterrupted thread linking the founding of the Escola d'Arquitectura in 1875 with current practices and sensibilities. A thread that crosses generations, styles and turbulent periods, yet remains alive through an approach in which restraint and boldness, rigour and instinct coexist in a balance popularly known as seny i rauxa. The exhibition avoids a chronological approach and instead adopts a thematic structure that invites visitors to observe, engage in dialogue and compare. The pieces are presented in unexpected conversations that reveal affinities, tensions and resonances between works from different periods. This approach allows architecture to be understood not only as a technical discipline, but as a cultural expression deeply rooted in the territory while remaining open to global influences. The route includes a wide variety of architectural materials: sketches showing the first creative gesture, plans defining forms and structures, models giving volume to ideas and photographs…
