Kreutzer Sonata Works by: L. van Beethoven and F. Schubert Performers: A. Reguera, violin, and M. Piqué, piano On 22 October the Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona hosts the concert Kreutzer Sonata, devoted to two fundamental figures of the chamber repertoire: Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert. Performed by A. Reguera on violin and M. Piqué on piano, the concert offers a tour of some of the most representative pages written for this pairing. The celebrated Sonata No. 9 for violin and piano, op. 47, known as the Kreutzer Sonata, is one of Beethoven's most demanding and expressive works and remains an essential reference in the violin literature. The event brings audiences closer to two key composers of the European musical tradition and offers the richness of the dialogue between violin and piano, one of the most emblematic chamber music line-ups.
