What to do in Sarrià
Sarrià was the last village on the plain to stop being one: it held out until 1921, twenty-four years longer than Gràcia and Sants. You notice it on carrer Major, still its spine and still on the original layout, and you notice it in the pace, slower than down below. Collserola starts right here. If you have a few hours, this is for walking unhurried and heading up into the park.
Sarrià is a neighbourhood in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district.

Get to know Sarrià
From the last annexed village to the foot of Collserola, in three steps.
It was the last town on the plain to hold out: annexed in 1921, twenty-four years after Gràcia and Sants.
Carrer Major de Sarrià is still its spine, with the church square at the end, and keeps the layout of the original village.
It sits at the foot of Collserola: several entrances to the park, the city's forest lung, start from here.
